As a result of the evaluation of the projects submitted within the scope of "1001-Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Program" in the first semester of 2023 and which allowed re-application without waiting for the next semester, Atatürk University achieved a remarkable result.

According to the evaluation results, the projects presented by a total of 5 faculty members from Atatürk University were deemed worthy of support, and it also succeeded in becoming the 2nd university whose projects were most supported among the developable projects.

Atatürk university has once again revealed the importance it attaches to scientific and technological research with its vision of creating a project culture. It ranked 6th in the general rankings with a total of 12 TUBITAK 1001 projects in the 2023 1st term applications.

Proving once again its determination to contribute to scientific studies not only at the regional but also at the national level with this success, Atatürk university aims to further raise its bar in the field of science and technology by laying a strong foundation for its future successes.

Stating that the university has an important position throughout the country with the support it provides to scientific research and projects, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı emphasized that, as always, we will contribute to the progress of our country by increasing the outputs for science and technology.

Stating that the goal set by Atatürk University is to be among the top 5 universities in Turkish Higher Education and among the top 500 universities in the world rankings, Rector Çomaklı said: “Our university has taken big and bold steps in this sense since the first day, creating its policies and starting to implement them with determination. Our students and academics are also moving towards the same goal in line with these policies.  As a university, we carry out our activities with the aim of becoming a research-oriented university that produces universally qualified scientific knowledge, carry out R&D activities, develop technology, turn ideas into patents and use the science we produce for the benefit of society."
