FOUR ADDITIONAL DEPARTMENTS AT ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY WERE ACCREDITED.

The outcomes of the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project, which Atatürk University instigated to implement contemporary educational principles and promote holistic progress, are still being realized.

Within this framework, Atatürk University, renowned for its education quality that has been endorsed by autonomous governing bodies, attained notable accomplishments with the accreditation of its Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, Economics, Public Administration, and International Relations departments.

Atatürk University, which attained the designation of Research University through its restructuring and change initiatives, is witnessing positive advancements in both the comprehensive curriculum it offers and the accreditation processes for its programs. Atatürk University secured the top position among 208 universities in Turkey in the ranking of universities offering accredited programs. Among the 53 universities that received institutional accreditation, 129 were state universities and 23 were research universities. With a total of 55 programs, Atatürk University topped the list of universities with the most accredited programs. This figure reached 59 with the accreditation of four additional educational programs offered by the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.

"Priority is Given to Accredited Departments During the Selection Process," stated Rector Çomaklı.

Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, the rector of Atatürk University, underscored the ongoing accreditation process for 27 programs. He further asserted that the Quality Coordinatorship and the Associate and Undergraduate Education Coordinatorship have accomplished noteworthy triumphs across Turkey through their research and studies, and that they continue to elevate the standards of success on a daily basis.

Professor Dr. Çomaklı underscored the criticality of the accreditation procedure for academic departments and faculties. It is essential to accredit university departments in order to improve international recognition and guarantee the integrity of education. In addition to providing students with a more dependable education, an accredited department enhances the employability prospects of its graduates. Candidate success rates tend to favor employers who have received their degree from an accredited department. They are at ease. Furthermore, accredited departments provide students and their families with dependable guidance. As a result, students prioritize accredited academic institutions when formulating career aspirations and decision-making processes. By operating with this consciousness, we address the inquiries regarding methods to enhance the caliber of instruction offered by our academic institution. "With these thoughts, I would like to thank our Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and our Quality Coordination Office for guiding them, and I wish success to all our members who work with us for the success of our university."
