ADEP PROJECTS AT ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY WERE DISCUSSED IN THE LIGHT OF SCIENTIFIC OUTPUTS
In order to enhance its research capacity and increase the visibility of its scientific outputs, Atatürk University conducted its annual evaluation meeting of the projects implemented within the Research Universities Support Programme (RUSP). The meeting commenced with the inaugural speech of Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu at Prof. Dr. Kemal Bıyıklıoğlu Hall on April 9, 2025.
Atatürk University's identity as a research university is further solidified by the support provided to the university within the scope of ADEP, as Rector Hacımüftüoğlu emphasised. This support offers significant opportunities for institutional development and scientific productivity. Hacımüftüoğlu expressed his gratitude to the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the Presidency of the Presidency Strategy and Budget Presidency for their contributions in his speech. He also disclosed the executives of 54 new ADEP initiatives that are eligible for support in 2025.
The meeting was attended by the executives of 41 projects, the focus area and sector coordinators, vice-rectors, BAP Coordinator, and Research University Monitoring and Evaluation Office Coordinator of the 54 projects that were eligible for new support. Some of the projects have already been initiated, while others have been completed.
During the second segment of the meeting, the panel, which was presided over by Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, featured brief presentations from project coordinators regarding the current status of their projects, their progress, and the scientific outcomes they have achieved. These presentations disclosed not only the administrative phases of the projects, but also their academic contributions and interdisciplinary interactions.
The University's Academic Vision was reinforced and its Research Culture was furthered by the Meeting.
The 'ADEP Projects Output Form', which was devised by the Research University Monitoring and Evaluation Office Coordinatorship, was also featured during the occasion. By means of the form, the objective is to transparently manage the processes, document the scientific outputs of the projects in the institutional memory, and systematically report them.
The strategic decision-making processes of the university can be guided by the evaluations made in the light of scientific data, as was discussed during the concluding session. Participants emphasised that these meetings are not only an evaluation venue, but also a critical instrument that aids in the establishment of a culture of continuous improvement.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the general evaluation underscored the strategic, sustainable, and transparent structure in which Atatürk University manages scientific productivity. It was asserted that the ADEP Annual Evaluation Meeting is a critical step that enhances the university's academic vision and strengthens its research culture.
