AL-FARABI 11TH INTERNATIONAL SOCIAL SCIENCES CONGRESS HELD AT ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY
Al-Farabi 11th International Social Sciences Congress, hosted by Atatürk University and organized in cooperation with Atatürk University Institute of Social Sciences and Economic Development and Social Research Institute (İKSAD), was concluded with a total of 257 papers from 25 countries, 123 domestic and 134 abroad.
Participating in the opening of the congress on behalf of rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Özer expressed his satisfaction with Atatürk University's hosting of the 11th International Social Sciences Congress of Al-Farabi and said that they will always support such scientific activities.
Stating that social sciences, which are formed by the systematic coming together of many sciences, are the whole of disciplines that deal with human beings. Prof. Dr. Özer stated that social sciences offer the opportunity for the highest level of development of societies by comparing the lives of families, societies, and communities formed by human beings, revealing living standards, and obtaining general information.
Director of the Institute of Social Sciences and President of the Congress Prof. Dr. Sait Uylaş, on the other hand, touched upon the importance of social sciences, their areas of interest and their relationship with other sciences, and stated that other scientific fields, which act in cooperation with social sciences in the modern world, have achieved more efficient results in method, application and evaluation.
Prof. Dr. Uylas stated that all kinds of studies with academic value in the field of social sciences affect other fields of science positively. He stated that it is in the area of interest of social sciences in terms of affecting many things.
Touching on the importance of scientific activities and their contribution to the world of science in his speech, President of the Institute of Economic Development and Social Research (İKSAD) Dr. Mustafa Latif Emek thanked Atatürk University for hosting in this context.
The three-day congress program continued with the opening statement, plaque presentations, face-to-face and online presentations.
