GEOGRAPHICAL DATA BACKUP WILL BE MADE AT ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY
Atatürk University, which made agreements with national and international companies within the scope of University-Industry cooperation, signed a geographical data backup protocol with PenDC, which provides data center service in Bursa.
Atatürk University, which has realized important cooperation with PenDC on geographical data backup, will provide income to the university with the first protocol in the sector.
PenDC, which has made an agreement with Atatürk University Computer Research and Application Center (ATABAUM) in order to be able to backup geographical data at different points in the country, will make data backups in Anatolia through Atatürk University.
Ataturk University Rector Prof. Dr.Ömer Çomaklı signed protocol With the geographical backup by PenDC Chairman Murat Ünal, Atatürk University will also receive free backup service.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Murat Ünal stated that the back-up infrastructure should be strong in universities and noted that they are open to all cooperations that will contribute materially and morally to universities, which are the home of science.
Stating that they decided to back up the data in Turkey with state universities and that the data will be backed up automatically every day in the center rented in ATABAUM, Ünal said that the rented cabins will also provide financial gain to the university, and that they want to expand this network with more universities in the future.
A First in Collaboration with the University
Stating that they are happy to sign an agreement with PenDC, which is a first in its field, Rector Çomaklı talked about the importance of universities to keep up with change and to be a pioneer in a period when digitalization is advancing at a dizzying pace.
Stating that they are also proud of being the first university to have a geographical backup, Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı thanked PenDC, which aims to contribute to state universities with the rental income to be obtained from the private departments where the data will be backed up.
