Based on the approval letter of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), new deans were appointed to 2 faculties at Atatürk University, while existing deans were reappointed in 12 faculties.

With the approval of the appointment of deans to faculties by YÖK, new year appointments were made at Atatürk University. As a result of these appointments, Prof. Dr. Beyzagül Erkayman was appointed to the Faculty of Pharmacy and Prof. Dr. Muhammed Kızılgeçit to the Faculty of Theology as Deans.

On the other hand, the 12 incumbent deans were re-appointed to their positions; Prof. Dr. Erdem Kocadağıstan to the Faculty of Open and Distance Education, Prof. Dr. Mağfiret Kaşıkçı to Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Vedat Kaya to the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Prof. Dr.Adem Yılmaz to the Faculty of Communication.  Prof. Dr. Ufuk Şimşek to the Kazım Karabekir Faculty of Education,  Prof. Dr. Süleyman Toy to the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Prof. Dr. Mehtap Tan to the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof Dr. Telat Yanık to the Faculty of Fisheries, Prof. Dr. Gökalp Nuri Selçuk to the Faculty of Tourism, Prof. Dr. Muhammet Dursun Kaya to the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Yavuz Selim Sağlam  to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Prof. Dr. Önder Çalmaşur  to the Faculty of Agriculture, as Deans.

Atatürk University Rector Prof. Ömer Çomaklı emphasized that administrative duties are positions that help raise the flag higher and that working as an administrator in addition to academic duties within Atatürk University is a source of pride, expressing his best wishes to both the deans who changed their positions and those who resumed their duties and said: “First of all, I would like to thank our deans who continue their duties. Their dedicated work and leadership have played a major role in the success of our faculties. We have full confidence in them and we wholeheartedly believe that they will maintain the same success in the future. In addition, I would like to welcome our newly appointed deans. Your experience and knowledge will contribute to the development of our faculties and take our university even further. Finally, I would like to thank all our academic staff, students and employees. Your efforts and contributions are the most important factor that ensures the continuous development and success of our university. I hope that our deans, who begin their new terms with these feelings, will be successful in their duties.”
