FACE-TO-FACE EDUCATION CONTINUES AT ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY
In order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in Turkey, which is defined as a global epidemic by the World Health Organization, the nationwide online education given in 2020 continues face-to-face at Atatürk University with 62 thousand students in the 2021-2022 academic year.
Atatürk University has successfully completed the online education process, which lasted about 1 and a half years, thanks to its technological infrastructure and extensive knowledge and experience on the distance education model. A decision was made to start the 2021-2022 academic year face-to-face again with the decrease of the epidemic effect.
At Atatürk University, which started face-to-face education in all programs carried out in the 2021-2022 Fall Semester, the first semester ended without any problems, and it has got back to giving education smoothly in the second semester.

Taking precautions and mobilizing all possible resources to prevent the students, academicians and administrative staff from being affected by the epidemic in the education model of the new period. Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı said that the long-term online education has been successfully completed and is very useful, but no model can replace face-to-face education.
"With the start of face-to-face education in the fall semester, the university campus, which had been silent for months, has became lively again with the students coming. Atatürk University acts on the principle of "moving forward in service of life" with its 65 years of experience, technological infrastructure, current information processing, distance education experience, learning and teaching development activities, digital transformation studies, academic and administrative staff." He added.
