4 MORE TEAMS FROM ATATURK UNIVERSITY WILL COMPETE IN TEKNOFEST FINALS
TEKNOFEST is also hosting ambitious projects in2025, while also leading Turkey's national technology initiative andencouraging young people to produce scientific projects. The provisionalevaluation results of the 2242 University Student Research ProjectCompetitions, which were organised under the leadership of TÜBİTAK, have beendisclosed. This year, Atatürk University has advanced to the finals with eightteams, out of 91 projects.
Seven teams from the Computer Engineering Department and one from the MechanicalEngineering Department will participate in the finals. The projects address adiverse array of topics, including environmental technologies, education,social entrepreneurship, and smart cities. These student-developed initiativesare notable for their scientific approach and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The following statements were made by Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. AhmetHacımüftüoğlu in response to this success, which demonstrates the scientificinfrastructure, R&D capacity, and potential of its young researchers:"The fact that 8 of our teams made it to the finals in a prestigiousorganisation like TEKNOFEST is an indication of our university's determinationin research, development, and innovation." The fact that our students collaborateacross various disciplines to create initiatives that will address therequirements of our nation is of immense value, not only in terms of academicachievement but also in terms of social impact. We, the universityadministration, will persist in providing our students with the necessarysupport to navigate this journey.
