Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and Atatürk University signed the Project “The Health of Itinerant Animals in the countryside and Providing Polyclinic and Training Services” which was prepared as part of Trance Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline Project (TANAP).

The rector of Atatürk University Prof.Dr. Ömer Çomaklı and the director of TANAP Quality , Occupational Health Safety, Social And Environment Services Fatih Erdem came in on the signing ceremony of the Project which is named “ The Health of Itinerant Animals in the countryside and Providing Polyclinic and Training Services” and prepared by Atatürk University, Faculty of Veterinary Science. The ceremony was in Ankara. Rector Çomaklı wished the signatures to be auspicial for our country and said that this Project which will be followed out as part of new generation university is to contribute to the region farming and social improvement.

Rector Çomaklı: “Faculty of Veterinary Science” provides accretion value to our region. 

Rector of Atatürk University Prof. Dr. Çomaklı uttered that the report of needs analysis showed up after the field visits along TANAP Pipeline and indicated that, as a result of analysis , the Project “The Health of Itinerant Animals in the countryside and Providing Polyclinic and Training Services” developed by Faculty of Veterinary Science. Çomaklı said that Faculty of Veterinary Science provides accretion value. He said that this Project which is designed with TANAP aims to activate the vet health systems,give modern polyclinic and clinic health services to the sick animals which cannot react the center , cooperate with the other institutions such as Faculty of Veterinary Science, Application and Research Centers within the body of the university , inform and educate the society about animal health and human health related to animal health. He ended his speech by saying “I thank to the director of TANAP Fatih Erdem and those who contributed to this Project.

Director Erdem: “Atatürk University contributes to the understanding of “Two States and One Nation” .

The director of TANAP emphasized that making such a deal with Atatürk University which is one of the universities with the most extensive fumd of knowledge in Turkey will be an important labor for our country. He added that TANAP’s policy is to provide a system of natural gas pipeline which is designed with the best applications and industry standarts so as to carry Azerbaijan gas to the purchasers in Turkey and Europe. Erdem reminded that Azerbaijan and Erzurum are long-time pals. He added that Atatürk University hosts the students from Azerbaijan and this contributes to the understanding of “Two States and One Nation”.

What is TANAP?

The aim of TANAP Project is to carry the natural gas which is produced in Şah Deniz 2 Gas Field in the Caspian Sea of Azerbaijan and in the other fields in the South of the Caspian Sea firstly to Turkey znd then Europe. TANAP constitutes Southern Natural Gas Corridor by combining with Southern Caucasus Pipeline (SCP) and Trance-Adriatic (TAP).
