SEMESTER GIFT FOR CHILDREN FROM ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY
Atabuz Museum, which continues its artistic activities within the body of Atatürk University Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), hosts 2 different exhibitions in the first month of 2021.
On the first floor of the Atabuz Museum, which drew the attention of families especially when the schools entered the semester holiday, there is a group exhibition named "Republic and Child" prepared by the faculty members of the Faculty of Sculpture for about 3 months, while on the second floor, Dr. Lecturer Caner Yedikardeş's solo exhibition named "Tuzbuz" is on display.
Designs for Children Are Exhibited
In the "Republic and Child" exhibition, curated by Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Dr.Mustafa Bulat, which started in October and includes works that refer to the values reflecting the Republic, designs for children were prepared in an effort to draw the interest and viewing age of art to earlier processes.
Works Dedicated to Muammer Sun were Included in the Exhibition
Dean Bulat stating that these designs, which are composed of images that children can contact and communicate, in addition to the works produced on Nenehatun, who has become a symbol of resistance in Erzurum, constitute the main axis of the "Republic and Child" exhibition, also he said that the works dedicated to Muammer Sun who died recently and the composer of the Atatürk University anthem were also exhibited.
Ceramic and Ice Technique Used Together For The First Time
Stating that another work in the Atabuz Museum is exhibited under the name "Salt Ice", Bulat said; Dr. Lecturer Caner Yedikardeş broke new ground in terms of technique by bringing together ceramic and ice materials.
Exhibitions will continue for 2 months
Saying that museums are very important places in developing children's imaginations, Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı stated that with the school holidays, they organize various exhibitions for children in the Atabuz Museum as a half-term gift. Çomaklı said that the activities organized for children and their families who mostly spend time in their homes due to the pandemic period attract a lot of fun and that the exhibitions opened last week at the Atabuz Museum will be offered to art lovers for about 2 months free of charge.
