ANOTHER IMPORTANT STEP FROM ATATURK UNIVERSITY TOWARDS THE INTERNATIONALIZATION VISION… STRATEGIC COOPERATION PROTOCOL SIGNED WITH MANAS UNIVERSITY
Ataturk University has taken another significant stride towards its goal of internationalisation. Ataturk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu hosted Manas University Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, who attended the workshop "Turkish Historiography in the First Quarter of the 21st Century: Current Issues and Solution Proposals" in Erzurum, which was organised in collaboration with Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University.
As part of the visit, the two universities signed a protocol that outlines the potential for long-term collaboration in the areas of education, exam services, and digital platforms. The protocol's objective is to establish the Kyrgyzstan Coordinatorship of the Open and Distance Education Faculty at Ataturk University, coordinate central examinations, and conduct registration and application procedures in collaboration with Manas University.
The academic bridge that has been established with the Turkic world will be fortified by the protocol.
At the signing ceremony, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu declared that Atatürk University has taken another significant stride towards its objective of fortifying regional and global partnerships. He also stated, "This protocol guarantees the construction of a dependable, sustainable, and outcome-oriented academic connection between two significant universities in the Turkic world." We are establishing an exceptional partnership in the domains of digital systems, exam services, and information sharing.
In his evaluation, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, the Rector of Manas University, underscored that the signed protocol will fortify the integration of higher education in the Turkic world, as well as the two universities. Rector Ceylan stated, "This collaboration will facilitate the communication between students in Kyrgyzstan and Turkish universities, thereby fostering joint academic production."
Atatürk University will be responsible for the organisation of exam centres in Kyrgyzstan within the protocol's framework, while Manas University will be responsible for the secure delivery of exam documents, preparation of exam venues, and student registration processes. By mutual consent, this partnership may be renewed for an additional five years.
Atatürk University is able to enhance the quality of education and the cross-border efficacy of Turkish higher education by adhering to these international protocols.
