136 THOUSAND EURO GRANT FOR COOPERATION WITH 19 COUNTRIES TO ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY...

Atatürk University was entitled to receive a grant of 136 thousand 725 Euros for cooperation with 19 countries within the ambit of the "Higher Education Student and Staff Mobility between Partner Countries and Program Countries - ERASMUS+ KA171" project.

Within the scope of the "Higher Education Student and Personnel Mobility Between Partner Countries and Program Countries - ERASMUS+ KA171" project, which is administered by the Coordination Office of Atatürk University's Foreign Relations Office, Atatürk University collaborates with higher education institutions from 19 different countries that have passed Turkey's quality assessment and are eligible for funding.

Within the scope of the KA171 Project, which has twelve distinct budgetary categories, nineteen of the twenty country initiatives presented in seven categories received project support. Under the coordination of the Foreign Relations Office, academic personnel and students will represent the United States in the USA and Canada category during the new term. In the Asia category, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Taiwan; in the Western Balkans category, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo; in the Eastern Partnership category, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Ukraine; in the Southern Mediterranean category, Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Morocco; in the Central Asia category, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan; and in the Russia category, students will be able to participate in education, internship, and staff mobility with higher education institutions.

Rector Çomaklı stated, "Our University has the potential to become a global attraction."

Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı stated that Atatürk University, which has effectively implemented the Erasmus+ Program since 2009, continues to add new successes with non-European countries and central projects.  Çomaklı stated: "Given the importance placed on internationalization within the scope of the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project, the university has a high potential in terms of becoming an international center of attraction, and with the bilateral agreements signed and mobility programs implemented, significant progress is made each year in comparison to the previous years, and your goals have been met."

Çomaklı noted that Atatürk University, which annually exposes hundreds of students and faculty to education and work experience abroad, is eligible for a grant of 180,350 Euros under the Erasmus+ Student and Staff Mobility in Higher Education with European Countries (KA131) Project and will receive a total grant of 317,000 Euros. He thanked all contributors, particularly the Foreign Relations Office, for helping to open the university to the international community.
