6 MORE PROJECTS PREPARED BY ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY WERE SUPPORTED BY TÜBİTAK

Atatürk University, which has produced 43 projects as a result of its vision, stakeholder and student search conferences within the scope of the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project, has immediately implemented 10 projects prepared by prioritizing these projects within the framework of the New YÖK Vision.

One of these projects was the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem and Teknokent Development Project conducted over Teknokent. Special efforts were made to participate in TÜBİTAK 2244 Industrial Doctorate Programs with the works carried out within the scope of the project in question. As a result of these efforts, Atatürk University ranked high on the List of University / Research Infrastructure and Industrial Organizations Qualified for Support in the TÜBİTAK 2244 - Industry Doctorate Program Call for 2019 and 6 projects were entitled to be supported with a total budget of 7.628.484,00 TL.

In 6 projects developed under the TÜBİTAK 2244 Industrial Doctorate Program and to be carried out with four different companies in Istanbul, Kocaeli, Eskişehir and Sivas provinces; The companies of ESTAŞ Eksantrik Industrial and Trade Co Inc., HAMLE Engineering Automation Electrical Machinery Construction Industry Trade LLC, POLIFARMA Pharmaceutical Industry and Trade Joint Stock and TUSAŞ Motor Industry Co Inc. will take charge.

The projects that are entitled to be supported will be carried out by Atatürk University faculty members Prof Dr Ayhan Çelik, Prof Dr İhsan Efeoğlu, Prof Dr Hamdullah Kılıç, Associate Professor Dr Serdar Burmaoğlu, Dr Faculty Member Levent Bayındır and Dr Faculty Member Ülke Hilal Çelik.

“A Strong Step Towards University-Industry Cooperation”


In his evaluation, Rector Çomaklı stated that they attach great importance to university-industry collaboration, which is a subtitle in the university-society cooperation, and that they will continue to work on building infrastructure in order to carry out similar studies in the future. Rector Çomaklı also stated that they are constantly in contact with the large industrial enterprises of the university and he thanked Prof Dr Hasan Mandal, head of scientific and Technical Research Institute of Turkey (TÜBITAK), Technopolis Management, Project Support Office and related faculty members for their support.

What is TÜBİTAK 2244 Industrial Doctorate Program?

The TÜBİTAK 2244 Industrial Doctorate Program was established in order to train qualified human resources with a doctorate degree that is needed in the industry within the scope of our country's 2023 targets, with the cooperation of University-Industry, to encourage the employment of researchers with a doctorate in industry, and to develop university/research infrastructure - industry cooperation. Within the scope of the program, in order to encourage more researchers to be employed in the private sector, scholarships for doctoral students and employment support for the private sector are provided. In this way, the human resource, which is critical for achieving the desired technological transformation with the grants, supports and investment supports and reaching the desired levels in the value chain, will be improved in terms of quantity and quality. For this purpose, the needs of the companies will be taken to the centre, and in cooperation with the companies, the training of critical doctoral human resources will be provided.
