Domestic Formula Car AURA 22 will show up in Italy
Atatürk University Tulpar Racing team, which passed all online stages and was entitled to compete in England and Italy in the Formula Student competition, the most prestigious student engineering competition in the world, held in 14 different countries, together with the AURA 22 Formula vehicle designed by Atatürk University, visited Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı.
Having completed the production of the design, which ranked third in the world in 2019, the team will fly our flag in the Formula Student ATA competition to be held in Parma, Italy, where 135 universities from the world and 4 universities from Turkey will participate.
The works will add value to the automotive sector of our country
AURA 22, produced entirely by student engineering, has a 700cc twin-cylinder engine block that produces 68 HP and 75Nm torque. The vehicle, which offers maximum acceleration performance with the gear ratio calculations used in the power transmission system, has independent suspensions on 4 wheels in order to better transfer this speed performance to the road. All calculations, designs and production planning were carried out by the students, except for the engine block in the vehicle. The team, which provides added value to the automotive industry of our country thanks to these efforts, will compete with the AURA 22 in the design category in the competition to be held in Italy and then in England.
The consultancy of AURA 22, which was produced with the project supported by the Rectorate and Scientific Research Projects Coordination Unit (BAP) within Atatürk University, was provided by Prof. Dr. Cahit Yeşilyaprak. Continuing to conduct the work, the team consisting of Mehmet Akif Özarpalı, Mustafa Payveren, Enes Malik Mercan, Simge Doğan, Hamit Sandalcılar, Emirşah Afşar, Murathan Korkmaz, Kübra Akgül, Moustafa Abdelmawla, Barbaros Taşdemir, Ahmet Altun and Ahmet Doğukan Ermiş together, is counting the days to appear in the competitions in Italy and England.
