Head ofJustice Commission of Erzurum Regional Courts of Justice Mustafa Çetin paid a visit to Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, conveying his best wishes for the University being chosen as a Research University by YÖK (CHE).

Stating that he has had the opportunity to get to know Atatürk University more closely since the day he took office in Erzurum, Çetin said that the University is a great institution worthy of Erzurum's history.

He said that the success and quality bar has risen to a higher level with this title, also underlining that the city-university partnership should increasingly continue. He congratulated the entire University family with Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı.

Rector Çomaklı thanked Çetin for his visit and good wishes, emphasizing that Atatürk University has projects and targets that will strengthen Turkey's strength in international competition and will stimulate and make a social contribution to Erzurum and the region through education and R&D studies.

Prof. Dr. Çomaklı also pointed out that the title of Research University will be instrumental in the growth and progress of not only the University but also of the entire city.
