The congratulatory visits to Atatürk University, entitled Research Universities by the Council of Higher Education (CHE), continued. Erzurum Attorney General Hüseyin Tuncel, who visited Rector Prof. Dr.Ömer Çomaklı, expressed his best wishes for the university being a Research University.  

Expressing his satisfaction with the visit, Rector Çomaklı said that Atatürk University, which is the largest science center of the east with its 65 years of cultural and scientific tradition, technological infrastructure, experienced units, and thousands of expert academics and personnel, has proven itself by getting this title.

Rector Çomaklı, who stated that Atatürk University, which has a paramount weight for its region and country as well as its city, is in a position to guide institutions with its knowledge and experience, emphasized that studies will be carried out at the point of service to the society thanks to inter-institutional cooperation.

Stating that Atatürk University, one of the oldest institutions in the city, acted as a locomotive and contributed to the development of many institutions and organizations that followed, Attorney General Tuncel stated that the university carried out projects worthy of its history and name.

Stating that Atatürk University, which is one of the leading universities in the field of trained human resources, created a positive atmosphere in Erzurum with the title of Research University, Tuncel thanked everyone who contributed to this success, especially Rector Çomaklı.
