Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı published a message on the occasion of Barat Night. Rector Çomaklı used the following statements in his message:

“Barat Nights are opportunities for purification. They allow us to renew our spiritual feelings, to assess the past deeds, to regenerate our hopes planning our futures. We have reached the Barat Night. Almighty Allah gives the good news that His mercy will be manifested through this holly night saying: "Is there anyone who swears off, it will be accepted. Is there anyone who wants livelihood, it wiil be given. Is there anyone who wishes remedy, it will be bestowed. Is there any other wish, it will also be granted to whoever praying for it."

Muslims will spend this night praying and worshipping, which is a cause of mercy, with the hope of getting rid of the burden of sin, and hoping that Allah will forgive their sins.

"In the spiritual light of Barat Night, I wish tranquility, happiness and peace for the whole world.” said Çomaklı.
