BIODIVERSITY MUSEUM TO HOST NATURAL ASSETS
Atatürk University Rector Pof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, who came together with academicians by visiting the Plant Protection Department of the Faculty of Agriculture, made various examinations in the Plant Protection Department, which stands out with its education and training, besides the technology and scientific research it produces at the national and international level.
Another good news for a new Museum
Rector Çomaklı, who gave the good news that they have planned the Biodiversity Science Museum after coming to the office and that they plan to open it soon, stated that this museum will prepare the ground for scientific studies as well as its attraction.
Stating that he believes that the project, which will also allow R&D studies to be carried out with the laboratories within its structure, will contribute to the scientific community and museum culture, Çomaklı stated that the Biodiversity Science Museum was designed to serve as a research center in the field of biodiversity.
Stating that there are similar museums in the world, Çomaklı also reminded that cooperation protocols for the establishment and development of the Zoology Institute and Komarov Botanical Institute and Atatürk University Biodiversity Science Museum, which include the biodiversity museum, have been signed.
“Museums are Living Organisms”
Rector, who noted that the museum will be briefly informed about the opening date of the museum, which was recorded as a big step. Prof. Dr. Çomaklı stated that after the Ata Ice Museum, which was established within Atatürk University and planned to open in April, it is very important for tourism to bring such a valuable museum to the city. Emphasizing that an important step that will contribute to Erzurum, its region and country tourism will be taken soon, Rector Çomaklı completed his speech by stating that museums are a living organism and that they grow as they feed, therefore the studies continue uninterruptedly.
