THE PROJECT FOR THE USE OF BORON IN LUNG DISEASES WAS SUPPORTED BY TÜSEB

Atatürk University, which encourages research teams in order to transform research-development and scientific activities into social contributions, and attaches importance to benefiting science and humanity with its many application and research centers, continues to receive support in many fields with the projects it carries out.

In this context, by the Presidency of Turkish Health Institutes (TÜSEB), Under the leadership of Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine Department of Medical Pharmacology Lecturer Prof. Dr. Zekai Halıcı  , the project numbered 11629 within the scope of the 2020-KD-01 / Call for Projects for Non-Clinical Studies has been accepted.

The project titled "Protective Effects of Inhaler Boron Application on Acute Lung Injury" will explore the benefits of using Boron in the treatment of many lung diseases, including lung damage caused by Covid-19.

Speaking on the subject, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı stated that Atatürk University broke new ground in many fields with its scientific research, and said that these studies have increasingly continued in recent years.

Rector Çomaklı stated that the use of boron mine, which is used in many fields in Turkey, which has 73% of the world's boron reserves, will also become widespread in the field of health thanks to this project, and thanked those who contributed to this project that will benefit human and public health.
