ANOTHER NEW BUSINESS AGREEMENT INKED WITH THE METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY

Carrying out many projects that can set an example for inter-institutional cooperation,
Atatürk University signed a new partnership protocol with Metropolitan Municipality.

With the protocol signed by Ataturk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı and Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mehmet Sekmen, the support of Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality will be provided in various fields over the course of the implementation of the TÜBİTAK 4007 Erzurum Science and Technology Festival, which is set to be held between 6-8 October.

Mayor Sekmen emphasized that as the Metropolitan Municipality, they will mobilize all the facilities of the municipality at the Erzurum Science and Technology Festival. Thanking him for their cooperation, Rector Çomaklı stated that they were pleased to host him at the university, laying stress on the importance of strong links with public institutions and organizations in terms of university-city cooperation.

Noting that they are making efforts to integrate scientific studies into daily life for the development of the city and the region, Çomaklı underlined that they acted in accordance with the approach of working together with the city stakeholders in the vision of the New Higher Education Council and wished the signed protocol to be beneficial.

Mayor Sekmen said that they have accelerated the municipal works with the new year, expressing his gratitute for their support to the institutions with the agreements made. Reminding that they will always be in cooperation with an educational institution such as Atatürk University with high knowledge and trained human resources, Sekmen thanked Rector Çomaklı for his hospitality.
