Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı published a message on the occasion of the 29 October Republic Day. Rector Çomaklı used the following statements in his message:

❝We are celebrating a great day when the Turkish Nation defeated its bad luck and threw out those who invaded its homeland, thus officially establishing the Republic of Turkey, declaring its freedom from friend to foe, and starting to build its glorious future with its honorable history.

We live the honor of being the son of a nation that founded our Republic, our independence, our indomitable honor, our fighting spirit in history once again, and that celebrates the Republic as a holiday, which it declared as a feast by combining the consciousness of Turkishness and the spirit of Islam with a sublime blend, which can still rise from the ashes in the face of impossibilities.

May the day we celebrate with this awareness be a holiday, and our path always be the Republic…❞
