TURKEY PROPERTY TAX EFFICIENCY STUDY AT THE FACULTY OF LAW TAKES PLACE IN SSCI

The study titled "Property Tax Efficiency in Turkey: Efficiency of Turkish Property Tax", which was carried out at Atatürk University Faculty of Law, was published in the Lex Localis Institute for Local Self-Government magazine, which was scanned in the Social Sciences Citation Index (Web of Science-SSCI).

Within the scope of the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project, Atatürk University continues its efforts to reach its goal of being among the world universities. In this context, Atatürk University, which has taken steps in line with this purpose with the researches of its faculty members as well as the many international symposiums and congresses it has organized, continues its rise in the world's leading ranking institutions and finds a place for itself in respected journals.

61 Academicians from 30 Countries Contributed

In this context, one of the Faculty Members of the Faculty of Law, Assoc. Dr. Mehmet Alpertunga Avci presented his paper “Property Tax Efficiency in Turkey: Efficiency of Turkish Real Estate Tax” in the study titled “Real Property Taxes and Property Markets in CEE Countries and Central Asia" scanned by Social Sciences Citation Index’te (Web of Science) and published by Lex Localis Institute for Local Self-Government to which the  61 academicians from 30 countries contributed with 31 papers (chapter)

Prospects for the Next Decade Evaluated

Stating that it is a pleasure to contribute to the world of science with a study in which our country's name is included, Assoc. Dr. Mehmet Alpertunga Avci shared information about the work he wrote. Avci stated that in his study, which he started to explain with the historical development of property tax in Turkey, he discussed the position of property tax, its legal and structural framework, management, income efficiency, structural problems and potential reforms to eliminate structural problems, and made various determinations and recommendations. He also stated that he included information and determinations based on quantitative and qualitative analyzes about the development and structure of the real estate (real estate) market, its domestic and foreign size and potential in the market.

In conclusion, Assoc. Dr. Mehmet Alpertunga Avci emphasized the strong possibility of a significant improvement in property tax efficiency in the next ten years in line with the ongoing development in the real estate sector.

Reminding that they established the Scientific Journals Coordinatorship in order to carry the New Generation University Design and Transformation studies to an international dimension and to accelerate the steps of our country to become a science and technology leader both in the region and in the world, Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı said that in this context, they also put the Research Methodology Training and Application Office, Academic Writing Support Office and Project Development and Coordination Office into the service of academicians with wide opportunities.

Stating that Atatürk University, which is among the respected educational institutions with its 64 years of experience, has risen to the top in the success ranking with scientific studies in recent years, Rector Çomaklı thanked Mehmet Alpertunga Avci and congratulated him for his success.”
