5TH INTEGRATED MEDICINE SYMPOSIUM HOSTED BY ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY
Organized by Atatürk University Acupuncture and Complementary Medicine Methods Application and Research Center (AYTAM), in cooperation with Atatürk University Traditional and Complementary Medicine Application Center (GETAT) and Turkish Family Physicians Specialization Association (TAHUD), the 5th Integrated Medicine Symposium was held in the Blue Hall of the Cultural Center. .
Traditional and complementary medicine methods, evidence-based data approaches, which method can be applied in which diseases, the mechanism of action of acupuncture and the history of traditional medicine were discussed in the program.
Making the opening speech, president of the 5th Integrated Medicine Symposium, Assist. Prof. Suat Sincan made the following remarks: “We renew and develop ourselves at each new symposium. We strive to do better, beneficial and enjoyable activities for our patients, and at the same time we try to convey our knowledge.”
Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Muhammet Hamidullah Uyanık, on the other hand, expressed his happiness for the fact that the symposium, which was held for the 5th time this year, was held face-to-face and said: “Many good services are provided in our university regarding traditional medicine practices. Especially with its academic staff, AYTAM center has been transferring traditional medicine practices to the future in a scientific framework for years. For their contributions to the organization of the symposium, I would like to thank the Organizing Committee and AYTAM, especially our rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı.”
Stating that Atatürk University is one of the best universities in Turkey and that he is proud to be working in such a well-established university, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Selahattin Çelebi, on the other hand, said: “Our Faculty of Medicine, which contributes to the human resources trained in the field of health in our country, is also one of the institutions that bear the burden of health services in our Eastern Anatolia Region. I am proud of them for being pioneers in scientific studies. I congratulate you for organizing such scientific and public meetings and wish the symposium to be beneficial.”
Many Traditional Treatment Methods were Discussed in the Framework of the Symposium
In the program, during which important issues were discussed in the field of medicine, which took place in three sessions, the participants expressed their opinions on current issues. In this context, the partipicants Prof. Dr. Yasemin Çayır her “Acupuncture” and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kenan Taştan, with his "Language of the Subconscious: Hypnotherapy" and Assist. Prof. Gülden Sincan with her "History and Regulation", contributed to the symposium, which was chaired by the academic member of Faculty of medicine Ezel Bilge Yerli.
Prof. Dr. Ideal Beraa Yılmaz Kartal attended the second session with his "Ozontherapy", Assist. Prof. Mustafa Bayraktar with "Reflexology in Family Medicine", and Assist. Prof. Fatih Baygutalp with "Cup Therapy". which was chaired by Assist. Prof. M. Akif Nas.
The presentations by Prof. Dr. Hüsnü Kürşad on "Neural Therapy Applications", Prof. Dr. Zülal Özkurt on “Functional Medicine Applications”, and Assist. Prof. Suat Sincan on “Frequency Medicine Applications” were made in the last session, which was chaired by Assist. Prof. Esra Çınar Tanrıverdi.
Making the closing speech, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Muhammet Hamidullah Uyanık stated that it is very important for the departments to meet in joint studies. He also noted that the methods implemented within the framework of Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı's New Generation University Design and Transformation vision have contributed to the inter-institutional unity and solidarity.
The program, in which expert participants, many academicians and students participated, ended with the presentation of certificates of attendance.
