EROĞLU'S DOCTORAL THESIS WAS AWARDED A RANK AT THE TÜBA-TEKNOFEST.

TÜBA-TEKNOFEST has announced the results of the 2024 Doctoral Science Awards.

Zafer Eroğlu was awarded the 2nd prize in the field of Basic Sciences for his doctoral thesis, "Synthesis of Metal-Free Quantum Dots and Design of Heterojunction Structures with Two-Dimensional Materials for Photocatalysis Applications," which he conducted at the Atatürk University Institute of Science. This prestigious organization recognizes doctoral theses that contribute to Turkey's scientific and technological development.

The Awards will be presented to their respective owners at the upcoming TEKNOFEST event in Adana.

The Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) annually conducts the TÜBA-TEKNOFEST Doctoral Science Awards, which evaluate doctoral theses from Turkey on a wide range of thematic subjects in 2024. These awards, which emphasize research that contributes to the advancement of fundamental sciences, technology and design, artificial intelligence, and autonomous systems, will be presented to their respective recipients at TEKNOFEST, which is scheduled to take place in Adana from October 2-6.

Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker, the President of TÜBA, underscored the significance of the doctoral process as a challenging and significant transition for scientists. He also asserted that the research conducted during this process makes a significant contribution to the field of science. Prof. Dr. Şeker stated, "The TÜBA-TEKNOFEST Doctoral Science Awards, which are being held for the fourth consecutive year, are a testament to the scientific potential and power of Turkey." We are both proud and optimistic about the future as a result of the significant distances that the country's higher education has covered in a brief amount of time.
