RECTOR HACIMÜFTÜOĞLU RECEIVES A CONGRATULATORY VISIT FROM ERZURUM AK PARTY DEPUTIES

Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu received a congratulatory visit from AK Party Erzurum Deputy and Former Minister of Internal Affairs Selami Altınok, as well as Deputies Mehmet Emin Öz, Abdurrahim Fırat, and AK Party Erzurum Provincial Chairman İbrahim Küçükoğlu. During the visit to the Rector's Office, the University's future vision, initiatives for the development of Erzurum and the region, and the strengthening of university-city cooperation were discussed.

Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, who was recently appointed as the Rector, provided his guests with an overview of the University's present status and prospective objectives. Atatürk University's deep-rooted history and leadership in education were underscored by Hacımüftüoğlu, who also declared that the institution will continue to advance in the fields of scientific research, innovative projects, and social contributions.

Deputies' Guarantee of Assistance

The AK Party Erzurum Deputies and Provincial Chairman extended their best wishes to Hacımüftüoğlu in his new role and underscored the significance of the University to the city of Erzurum and the surrounding region. The deputies declared their unwavering commitment to the advancement of Atatürk University and the initiatives that will be implemented under the authority of Rector Hacımüftüoğlu. Additionally, it was asserted that the development of Erzurum will be significantly influenced by the increased collaboration between the University and local administrations, civil society organizations, and the industrial sector.

Enhancing University-City Collaboration

Ideas regarding the enhancement of Atatürk University's relationship with Erzurum were discussed during the visit. Rector Hacımüftüoğlu declared that their objective is to integrate the scientific and academic potential of the University with the city in order to contribute to the social, economic, and cultural development of Erzurum.

Future Vision and New Projects

The visit also included a discussion of the University's future initiatives. Hacımüftüoğlu underscored the necessity of implementing measures to enhance Atatürk University's internationalization, sustainability, innovative education programs, and digital transformation. In this context, he stated that they will strive to establish the University as a highly effective science and education center, not only in Turkey and Erzurum, but also on an international scale.

The visit concluded with Erzurum AK Party Deputies and Provincial Chairman İbrahim Küçükoğlu extending their best wishes to Rector Hacımüftüoğlu for success in his responsibilities, which were conducted in a cordial manner. The parties expressed their desire to meet more frequently to discuss the university's future initiatives after the visit, and a souvenir photo was taken.
