The chairman, Hikmet Karaca, and the directors of Erzurum Merchant Chamber of Printers, Stationers, and Sign Painters visited Rector Çomaklı.
Expressing that the added-value Atatürk University provided for Erzurum has increasingly continued since the day the university was established, Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, the rector of Atatürk University, stated that all the opportunities the university has can be shared with merchants and craftsmen, and that the academic information they need can be provided by the academics. Rector Çomaklı remarked that the university-merchant cooperation will make a significant contribution to the development of the city as well as the merchant-university cooperation will do. He also expressed that the unit of R&D is actively working in order to support the works of chambers of merchants and craftsmen. Hikmet Karaca, the chairman of Erzurum Merchant Chamber of Printers, Stationers, and Sign Painters, thanked Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, the rector of Atatürk University, for his hospitality, and said: “Merchant and craftsman are the building blocks of society and economy. We have come together with Rector Çomaklı in order to evaluate some activities which have been built on these blocks, and the problems appearing in these activities, and the solutions to these problems, and to take firm actions about the solutions. I thank him for paying attention to our suggestions and wish success to him.”
Rector Çomaklı marked “Atatürk University, with its all units and academics, stands by the merchants”, thanking the chairman, Hikmet Karaca, and directors of Erzurum Merchant Chamber of Printers, Stationers, and Sign Painters for their visit.
