Erzurum protocol and the high-ranking bureaucrats of the city came together in the iftar meal arranged by Atatürk University.
Governor of Erzurum Seyfettin Azizoğlu, Chief Public Prosecutor of the Regional Court Ünal Bingül, Chief of the Regional Court Mustafa Çetin, Chief of the Regional Administrative Court Mehmet Metin Kahraman, Rector of Erzurum Technical University Prof.Dr.Muammer Yaylalı, Erzurum Metropolitan Vice-Mayor Eyüp Tavlaşoğlu, Erzurum Provincial Police Chief Mehmet Aslan, Erzurum Provincal Mufti Hüsnü Sula, Regional Manager of TRT Ayça Alemdar, and the senior management of the university, the civil, administrative military and juridical high officials participated in the iftar meal which Rector Prof.Dr.Ömer Çomaklı hosted in Konukevi1, Atatürk University.
Imam of University Mosque Memduh Karslı chanted Kuran-ı Kerim before the iftar. After the ezan they broke fast. Following the iftar Rector of Atatürk University Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı gave a speech.
Rector of Atatürk University Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı thanked the guests because of their honouring and said, “ I sincerely salute you on behalf of all my colleagues in this meaningful iftar table of the month Ramazan in which hearts awake, souls rise, fleshes are mortified, humanistic features are remembered again.”
“Today We were very happy to be together with you in the iftar programme.”
Rector Çomaklı added, “We need to close many more ranks than as usual with the feelings of unity and solidarity in this period. One of the most effective ways to be successful in the areas of education, technology, health economy and so on is sharing, cooperation and the feeling of solidarity an unity. I wish to indicate that we stand by our government and statecraft with every fiber of our being on the way of cementing and establishing this soul. We thank Allah because we are the members of a nation who has an enourmous wealth of soul and heart. On the occassion of this fruitful iftar I entreat for my almighty Allah so that the negativenesses in the İslam countries will end and all Muslims will live in solidarity and unity. May Allah make our solidarity and unity permanent and also cause us to meet Ramazan Bairam in the way we met the month Ramazan.”
