The Rector of Ataturk University Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı who attended the ordinary meeting in which Erzurum Chamber of Commerce and Industry Council Speaker Saim Özakalın and Deputy Speakers of the Chamber Mutluhan Alparslan Dumlu and Altan Arslan were the session managers ,shared the studies carried out within the university with the chamber members.
Vice rectors, rector advisors, and unit and office coordinators accompanied the Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı who continues his visits to strengthen the communication bridge established with the representatives of public institutions, NGOs, foundations, associations and industry world.
Emphasizing that the industrial cooperation which constitutes an important part of university-society collaboration continues and increases, the rector Çomaklı exchanged views on the ongoing agreements and projects between the chamber of commerce and industry and the university and shared the point where these works reached.
Noting that studies would continue increasingly in the future as they were in the past , Çomaklı underlined that they would make all the necessary contribution as the university in projects to meet the needs of the business world. Expressing that they gave R&D support especially to the works that would add value to the city and that the background and knowledge of the university were suitable for this, Prof. Dr. Çomaklı said that he believed the connection between the university and ETSO where the heart of commerce and industry beat would strengthen more.
A Consensus Has Been Reached at the Point of Establishing a Communication Office
Stating that they were doing some works that would benefit the industrialist, Çomaklı also stated that they had followed a useful policy such as transforming information into value and using it in the economy. Rector Çomaklı said that they prepared an environment in which the industry and the university would act together and also added that they looked positively to the idea offered in the meeting about establishing a communication office in Etso.
ETSO Speaker Saim Özakalın mentioned the importance of the contribution of Atatürk University in meeting the skilled and qualified staff needs of the business world and stated that they always gave full support to the projects carried out jointly with the university as ETSO and the business world, and that these collaborations would continue to increase by developing new projects in line with the requirements.
