FEDEK EVALUATED 11 PROGRAMMES FROM ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY FOR ACCREDITATION
Atatürk University, which continues to work towards the goal of achieving excellence in contemporary education within the scope of the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project, continues to be the address of quality in education.
At Atatürk University, which accredits new faculties and programmes every day, the auditing processes continue for the accreditation of 10 programmes from the Faculty of Literature and 1 programme from the Faculty of Science.
In the evaluation process carried out by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Curricula of Faculties of Science, Literature, Science-Literature, Language and History-Geography (FEDEK), German Language and Literature, Arabic Language and Literature, Information and Document Management First and Second Education, English Language and Literature from the Faculty of Letters, The inspections and examinations of FEDEK officials, who were at Atatürk University for the accreditation of Art History Secondary Education, Sociology Secondary Education, Turkish Language and Literature Secondary Education, History Secondary Education programmes and Astronomy and Space Sciences programme from the Faculty of Science, have ended.
After the inspections, FEDEK delegations headed by Prof. Dr. Figen Kadırgan, retired faculty member of Istanbul Technical University, met with Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı to evaluate the accreditation process together with faculty deans and academicians.
‘Atatürk University, never satisfied with the good, always endeavours to achieve better’
Rector Çomaklı, who made an evaluation on the subject after the evaluation teams read the final declarations and presented them to the deans and department heads at the meetings held in the Rectorate Senate Hall, stated that the accreditation of faculties and departments added value to the university and said that accreditation practices are effective in ensuring the continuity of education, research and social contribution.
Rector Çomaklı: ‘Our university, which was accredited in 2021 within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Programme implemented by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) in order to increase the quality in higher education institutions and contribute to quality assurance, was re-accredited for 2 years. Atatürk University, with its competent scientists and advanced research infrastructure, is never satisfied with the good and always strives to achieve better. I believe that with the completion of the accreditation process in the Faculties of Literature and Science, the faculties and related departments will become stronger in every way. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the end of these processes in a positive way.’
