ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY KEEPS ITS TRADITION, TAKES PLACE IN TOP 10 IN URAP RANKING

Atatürk University continued its rise in the 2022-2023 World and Turkey rankings of ODTÜ URAP, one of the 10 authorized institutions that makes university rankings around the world. Atatürk University, which is among the top 10 universities in Turkey according to the ranking, took place in the first thousand band in the world ranking.

Atatürk University continued to rise in the rankings made according to the number of articles produced by universities in 2021 and its performance in the fields of citations, total number of scientific documents, total publication effect, total citation effect and international cooperation with a 5-year evaluation backwards from 2021.

Atatürk University, which has produced many projects for the development of the country, especially its regional development mission in recent years, and has continued its rise both in Turkey and in the world rankings with the success it has achieved, by adding a new one to the successes it has achieved in the world's respected ranking institutions, is in the top ten in Türkiye in the URAP lists and in the world rankings. In the ranking, it took place in the thousand band and undersigned another important success.

Stating that they attach great importance to regional development and quality studies, Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı made the following remarks: “Both the joint projects we have done with our domestic stakeholder institutions, as well as the studies and collaborations we have made in the international arena contributed to the increase in the awareness and visibility of our university. Considering the fact that Atatürk University's steady rise is a reflection of the work done in the last 5 years, we continue to implement important breakthroughs that will also affect the coming years. The increase in publications and citations and scientific contributions to the academic field will be instrumental in moving our university to higher ranks in the coming years.

Rector Çomaklı stated that they are taking firm steps towards the goal of being among the best 500 universities in the world as a university, saying: “We offer the innovative information we have revealed through our scientific studies, qualified publications and researches with high technological impact, to the service of humanity. We contribute to our mission of internationalization with our achievements in the international arena and our collaborations, while at the same time raising awareness in the social sense. By Which Criteria Are Rankings Made?

In order to rank the top 3,000 universities in the world, the URAP Research Laboratory uses academic productivity indicators in 6 areas: articles, citations, total scientific documents, total publication impact, total citation impact and international cooperation. Articles in journals with the lowest impact value in the last 25 percent and articles in journals with zero impact or not yet determined are not included in this ranking.
