GRADUATION EXHIBITION OF “TRACE AND MELODY” BY TRADITIONAL HANDICRAFTS STUDENTS…

The 2nd year students of the Traditional Handicrafts Department of Atatürk University Technical Sciences Vocational School presented their graduation exhibition, "Trace and Ezgi," to art enthusiasts in the National Will Hall Foyer Area of the Cultural Centre on July 15.

 Professor Dr. Bülent Çavuşoğlu, Vice President of Atatürk University, Technical Sciences Vocational School Director, Professor Dr. Hayrunnisa Nadaroğlu, Assistant Director Dr. Lecturer Hüseyin Güllüce, academicians, students, and their families, as well as numerous visitors, attended the exhibition.

 The participants were captivated by a total of 88 works, which were prepared by the students throughout the year and belonged to a variety of traditional art forms, including illumination, miniature, and marbling. Aydan Akkök, a lecturer at the Technical Sciences Vocational School, curated the exhibition. The event was marked by a unique fusion of music and art. Pianists Cihan Zegerek and Doğukan Dayı, along with three pupils, provided the audience with an unforgettable art experience during the piano recital. The multidimensional structure of art was disclosed by the miniatures that were exhibited with melodies.

 Prof. Dr. Çavuşoğlu, in his opening speech, emphasised the university's commitment to the cultural development of the community, congratulated the students on their significant contributions, and declared, "One of our most significant objectives is to preserve and transmit our traditional arts to future generations." “The works that our young artists have resolutely displayed here today are a tangible representation of the extent to which this heritage is preserved.”

 The exhibition was regarded as a significant venue for the public to witness the talents of youthful artists and the growing interest in traditional handicrafts.
