The 5th Turkey Youth Forum programme, organised by the Turkish Youth NGOs Platform (TGSP), was hosted by Atatürk University with the title "Perception of Youth and Sports Policies".

In addition to Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, who participated as the host, Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ilim Yayma Foundation N. Bilal Erdoğan, AK Party Istanbul Deputy and at the same time Chairman of the National Turkish Students Union İsmail Emrah Karayel, deputy ministers, representatives of institutions working on youth, NGO managers and many young people attended the Eastern Anatolia Region meetings where the outputs of the workshops held in 12 provinces were discussed in order to reveal the experiences and perspectives of young people in Turkey and to make their voices heard.

Ali Haydar Ustaosmanoğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TGSP, who made the opening speech of the programme, stated that this valuable programme and its guests were young people from 12 provinces and universities who came from 12 provinces and universities and held workshops for 2 days and developed ideas on the youth of our country. President Ustaosmanoğlu stated that youth, sports and art were discussed under 12 topics at 20 tables and that the findings that emerged as a result of these sessions will be shared with our guests in the form of questions and solutions will be produced.

In the programme moderated by Journalist Mehmet Akif Ersoy, Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of İlim Yayma Foundation N. Bilal Erdoğan answered the questions of young people and explained the work done and to be done on sports and youth.

"We are working for a youth who can think about the interests and issues of society"

Prof. Ömer Çomaklı, Rector of Atatürk University, stated that they are very happy to host such an important event for young people.

Emphasising that youth work is extremely important in a country with a high youth population, Rector Çomaklı stated that he found the activities of TGSP very valuable in this respect: "As a university, we also support the steps taken to mobilise the core values and human resources of our country. As we work to raise individuals who adopt the value of these lands, the spirit of patriotism, know the values that make these lands a homeland, but at the same time have self-confidence, can communicate, set big goals for themselves, chase these goals, and think not only about themselves but also about the interests, interests and issues of their society, we support such studies to the end. With these feelings, I hope that the outputs of the 2-day programmes will be beneficial."

Rector Çomaklı welcomed the delegation who came to Erzurum to participate in the programme in his office, shared information about the studies carried out by the university and presented the guests with illumination works made by the university students.
