AFTER MEETING AT ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY, STUDENTS VISITED RECTOR ÇOMAKLI.
Atatürk University is the host of the Eastern Anatolia Regional Meeting of the Erasmus+ Project, which is titled "Career 4.0 through the Eyes of Young People."
Atatürk University is the host of the Eastern Anatolia Regional Meeting of the Erasmus + Project, which is titled "Career 4.0 through the Eyes of Young People." The event is supported by the Turkish National Agency, and Atatürk University is a partner and regional coordinator.
The "Career 4.0 Through the Eyes of Young People" Project, which is part of Erasmus + KA154, is designed to make concrete contributions to the "European Year of Skills" that was announced in 2023. The project is a collaboration between Atatürk University, Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, Karadeniz Technical University, Kayseri University, İzmir Institute of Technology, Mardin Artuklu University, Sakarya University, and Civil Life Association.
The project, which is being coordinated by Lecturer Alaeddin Türkmen from Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, will encompass seven regional workshops and a national summit. These events will facilitate the career planning processes of young individuals, enhance the effectiveness of technology transfer offices and career centres, and allow young individuals to present policy recommendations for career planning processes.
The eastern Anatolia region workshop is conducted at Atatürk University, which serves as the regional coordinator.
The Career Centre Training Hall will host the workshop from 17th to 20th July. The workshop is being co-coordinated by Prof. Dr. Neslihan Kulözü, Director of the Career Planning and Graduate Monitoring Application and Research Centre (ATAKARMER), who is also the co-coordinator of the project on behalf of Atatürk University, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Meral Oltulu, Deputy Dean of the Dean of Students. In addition to Atatürk University, students from Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen, Ardahan, Bingöl, Bitlis Eren, Erzincan Binali Yıldırım, Erzurum Technical, Fırat, Hakkari, Iğdır, Kafkas, Munzur, Muş Alparslan, and Van Yüzüncü Yıl Universities were invited to participate in the regional meeting. Out of the 130 students who submitted applications to receive a Career Ambassador certificate following the training within the project, 23 students were selected as participants through an application evaluation process.
The project, which also includes the establishment and enhancement of the capacity of career and entrepreneurship communities, as well as the transmission of career planning opportunities through an electronic learning module, will conduct a closing summit in Ankara following its activities. The officials of the Presidential Human Resources Office and the delegates in charge of the relevant commissions in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey will be presented with the concrete outputs and policy recommendations within the project's scope.
Students' Visit to Rector Çomaklı
Students from universities throughout the region attended the Eastern Anatolia Regional Meeting at Atatürk University and visited Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı in his office.
The students conferred with Rector Çomaklı, accompanied by Dean of the Dean of Students Prof. Dr. Yaşar Totik and ATAKARMER Director Prof. Dr. Neslihan Kulözü. Rector Çomaklı conveyed his pleasure at Atatürk University's hosting of such a significant organisation and the students' attendance at the meeting, and he provided his visitors with information about the university.

Rector Çomaklı emphasised that Atatürk University was the first university to be established in the Eastern Anatolia Region, stating, "Our university has pioneered the establishment of many universities as one of Turkey's leading universities with 67 years of history." With its well-equipped infrastructure, faculties, research centres, institutes, vocational schools, and thousands of academicians who are experts in their disciplines, our university continues to fulfil its leadership mission in the region and continues to establish itself as a giant science centre.

The students, who shared their experiences at Erzurum and Atatürk University, expressed their immense joy at being in a city with such a significant history and at a university that is in a critical position for the country's higher education.
