A FESTIVE EXHIBITION FROM THE FACULTY OF FINE ARTS…
The Ataturk University Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF) drew attention by commencing the new academic term with a theatre production titled "Vaveyla," which is centred around the Palestinian tragedy. The Autumn Exhibition, which was organised with the involvement of all departments, will continue until the end of November. A festive exhibition environment was established by the decoration of various areas of the GSF building with works of art and events.
The exhibition features the works of artists-academics and students from the following departments: painting, graphics, traditional Turkish arts, textile and fashion, ceramics, sculpture, photography, performing arts, and music. The GSF building is transformed into an art exhibition hall, and a variety of performative works are also on display.
Prof. Dr. Bünyamin Aydemir, the Dean of GSF, stated that these events were conducted with the cooperative involvement of all departments and were intended to associate the space with art and works of art. Prof. Dr. Aydemir: "It is of the utmost importance to us that all individuals who enter our faculty building are exposed to, engage with, and challenged by art." "It is both essential and highly beneficial for our students to receive an education in an environment that is characterised by art," he stated.
Prof. Dr. Aydemir underscored their opposition to the oppressions that plague the world, stating, "We have transformed this building into a space surrounded by art, as if mocking our world, which is under siege by barbarians, murderers, oppressors, and genocidal individuals." I would like to extend my gratitude to all of my colleagues who have contributed and to our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, for his support of our efforts.
The Autumn Exhibition was established with the objective of uniting art enthusiasts and providing them with an experience that pushes the boundaries of their imagination. Its objective is to elevate the importance of art and social issues to the forefront of the public's consciousness and to provide audience members with indelible experiences.
