Halkbank General Manager Osman Arslan, who came to Erzurum to make various trips and examinations, and the accompanying delegation, Ziraat Bank Chairman of the Board Burhaneddin Tanyeri, and branch representatives, visited Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı.

Rector Çomaklı, who stated that he was pleased to host his guests at Atatürk University, said that cooperation between institutions should be carried out in line with the goals and interests of our country. Rector Çomaklı, who said that Atatürk University has a structure that constantly develops and renews itself according to today's conditions, said that he would start the new education period with this understanding and having completed all the preparations.

Stating that the primary goal of universities is to contribute to society with education and research, Çomaklı emphasized that Atatürk University is in communication with every segment of society and said: “We meet with institutions and NGOs periodically to discuss what we can do for our city and country. Our aim is to benefit the society by strengthening the university-society relationship. Because we are patrons of regional universities. Our aim is to add value to this country. We are striving for this,” he said.

The guests, who stated that they were very sorry about the fire that broke out on the roof of the university cafeteria in the past days, and that there was no loss of life or injury, conveyed their best wishes to Rector Çomaklı. Guests who stated that Halkbank and Ziraat Bank are always next to Erzurum and Atatürk University; He said that they will continue to provide all kinds of support to Erzurum, which has a unique culture, an ancient history and friendly people, as it has been until now.

Rector Çomaklı, who stated that he felt the support of Halkbank and Ziraat Bank in the whole process from the construction phase of Atatürk University Süheyla-Sıtkı Alp Science and Anatolian High School to the beginning of his education life, presented a plaque of appreciation to the entire Halkbank and Ziraat Bank family before the managers of the two institutions.

After the visit, the delegation visited Süheyla-Sıtkı Alp Science and Anatolian High School and took a souvenir photo.
