During his Saturday shift visit to the Veterinary Faculty Animal Hospital, Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı remarked that this state-of-the-art establishment provides an extensive array of veterinary services and effectively addresses a critical void in the area. Çomaklı stated that the Animal Hospital, renowned for its comprehensive medical services including emergency interventions, routine examinations, surgeries, and more, additionally provides training and consulting for animal owners. "In addition to being a treatment facility, Animal Hospital conducts research and organizes educational activities." The research undertaken at this institution makes a significant contribution to the progression of veterinary medicine and the revelation of novel insights concerning animal health. Furthermore, future veterinarians are educated in these establishments, thereby supplying the sector with competent professionals, he added.

One of our most significant initiatives for our region, our Mobile Animal Hospital, remains a panacea for regional animal husbandry and contributes to the highest possible level of animal health. Our objective as management is to ensure continuous service provision through the provision of support for both infrastructure and apparatus and equipment. Upon inspecting the construction zones within the Animal Hospital that we visited, we promptly executed the required measures to ensure their timely completion. "All our efforts are to be a reliable port and to implement scientific studies that will keep the agricultural and livestock ecosystem of our region alive," according to him.

Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Prof. Dr. Yavuz Selim Sağlam, who accompanied Rector Çomaklı during the visit, stated that the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine underwent an evaluation visit by The European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education, The European System of Evaluation of Veterinary Training team from November 15th to November 19th, 2021. During the visit, the Dean outlined the corrections that were requested in relation to the European Union Accreditation application.
Dean Sağlam stated: We are making significant strides in our pursuit of attaining "Fully Accredited Faculty" status.
Dean Sağlam declared that the following improvements will be implemented: "The organization of operating rooms will be in accordance with biosecurity and operating room procedures; isolation and quarantine units will be organized according to the species of animals housed in them; intensive care units will be installed; and the emergency clinic, which offers animal health services outside of business hours, will be modernized to increase its efficiency." "Our students who graduate from our Veterinary Faculty, which is expected to be a "Fully Accredited Faculty" by the European Veterinary Education Committee, will have the opportunity to work as Veterinarians abroad."
