AWARD FROM HUAWEI TO ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY
Within the scope of the "Huawei ICT Talent Academy" agreement signed between Atatürk University and Huawei in March-2021, various activities were carried out with the cooperation of academics, students and Huawei in order to better prepare students for business life and to follow current technologies, and a strong cooperation was created through these activities.
As a result of this strong cooperation, Atatürk University was awarded the “Best Talent Partner of 2021” award at the Huawei Turkey Ecosystem Partner Summit 2022 meeting held in Ankara.
Digital Transformation and Software Office Coordinator and Huawei ICT Talent University official, who attended the meeting and received the award on behalf of the university, Prof. Dr. Bülent Çavuşoğlu said that preparing students for business life is only possible if they have the qualifications required by the industry.
Çavuşoğlu stated that they were happy to contribute to the fact that students could start their business life as more ready and effective individuals with the information added as a result of the collaborations with Huawei, one of the leading companies in the industry, on top of the academic information given at the university, and the free certificate opportunities provided and thanked Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı.
“Information Exchange Continues Intensively”
Reminding that within the scope of the Huawei ICT Academy program, which was activated in Turkey in the second half of 2020, partnerships were established with 20 universities and one of them is Atatürk University, Huawei Turkey representative Ömer Faruk Şahin stated that students have started to be reached and an important cooperation process has started between the two institutions in this direction. Stating that the exchange of information has been quite intense despite the fact that a short time has passed since the partnership agreement, Şahin said that they presented the ICT Academy certificate due to the interest shown by Atatürk University towards joint studies.
After the award ceremony, VisitingRector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı in his office and presented the award he received on behalf of the university, Çavuşoğlu stated that they are making an effort to announce the name of Atatürk University on every platform.
“They will be able to use the knowledge and skills they will gain anywhere in the world”
Rector Çomaklı, who stated that Atatürk University, which continues to serve the country's higher education with the title of Research University, continues to bear the fruits of its national and international collaborations in line with its goal of becoming a world university, said: expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation towards the meeting.
Rector Çomaklı: “We are continuing the cooperation that we started with Huawei by deepening. Within the scope of ICT Academy, we aim to put into practice many studies that will benefit our university members in the near future. If our students complete the trainings that are planned to start and receive their certificates, they will become equipped on topics such as artificial intelligence, cyber security, 5G and computer networks, and they will have the opportunity to use the knowledge and skills they will gain all over the world.
Rector Çomaklı thanked Huawei and all the academics who contributed to the program and the students who participated in the program, and said that they will continue to support the industry-oriented collaborations of the university.
