THE LETTERPRESS PRINTING MUSEUM OPENED WITH THE ATTENDANCE OF MINISTER OF NATIONAL EDUCATION PROF. DR. YUSUF TEKIN.

The Hurufat Atatürk University Print Museum, the most comprehensive and expansive print museum in Turkey, has been opened by Atatürk University. The opening ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, Rector of Atatürk University, Minister of National Education, Professor Dr. Yusuf Tekin, Erzurum Governor Mustafa Çiftçi, Mayor of the Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality, Mehmet Sekmen, and numerous other guests.

Professor Dr. Yusuf Tekin, Minister of National Education, conveyed his satisfaction with the realisation of such a significant cultural heritage during the ceremony. He also highlighted the museum's significant potential for scientific research and education. Minister Tekin stated, "This museum will not only serve as a testament to the past, but also as a hub that illuminates the educational and scientific landscape of the future." The completion of this undertaking by Atatürk University is a highly valuable contribution to the cultural heritage of our nation.

President Hacımüftüoğlu: "We Are Transferring the Cultural Heritage to Future Generations"

In his address, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, the Rector of Atatürk University, underscored the significance of the institution's commitment to scientific and cultural advancement. Rector Hacımüftüoğlu expressed his gratitude to those who assisted in the development and execution of this significant museum, stating that it will serve as a hub for academic research and cultural studies in addition to showcasing printing machines. This museum is a testament to the university's commitment to maintaining a prominent position in the disciplines of science, art, and culture, in accordance with its vision of "A Strong Science, Rooted University, and Bright Future." Rector Hacımüftüoğlu also declared that the museum will be inclusive of all societal groups by establishing a connection between the past and the future. He also stated that the artworks that will be displayed here will assist young people in comprehending the historical process and ensuring that they embrace this rich heritage.

The most comprehensive and expansive printing museum in Turkey
The Hurufat manufacturing Museum, which occupies an area of 700 m², has both exhibition and fabrication sections. The museum provides visitors with access to a total of 32 pre-press, press, and post-press devices, as well as thousands of metal letters and printing materials. The museum will serve as a valuable asset for academic studies and researchers in this regard.

The museum was opened to students at the university and visitors from outside following the opening. By incorporating a new one into Turkey's cultural heritage, Atatürk University continues to contribute to education and research.
