COOPERATIVE WORKING AREAS WITH IĞDIR UNIVERSITY WERE DISCUSSED.
Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, Rector of Atatürk University, engaged in a productive discussion with Prof. Dr. Mehmet Hakkı Alma, Rector of Iğdır University, regarding potential for collaboration and collaborative initiatives between the two universities.
Rector Hacımüftüoğlu conveyed his satisfaction with the visit to the Rectorate office and provided his visitor with a comprehensive overview of the academic studies and scientific projects conducted by their universities. It was emphasised during the meeting that cooperation should be prioritised, particularly in the areas of research and development, master's and doctoral programs, and student exchange initiatives.
Emphasis was placed on the necessity of forging a robust partnership between universities to promote the development of more innovative educational and applied scientific methodologies during the visit. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu stated that Atatürk University prioritises projects that will facilitate regional development and that these projects can have a more extensive influence in collaboration with Iğdır University.
In contrast, Rector Alma asserted that Iğdır University possesses an effective academic infrastructure, particularly in the areas of agriculture, energy, and the environment. He also expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to conduct collaborative research with Atatürk University in these areas.
Subsequently, Rector Hacımüftüoğlu and his guest, Prof. Dr. Alma, visited the Atatürk University Biodiversity Science Museum (ABBM). Prof. Dr. Levent Gültekin, the museum coordinator, informed Rector Hacımüftüoğlu and his counterpart Rector Alma that the science museum is a pioneer in the research and protection of biodiversity in Anatolia.
The visit concluded with a shared understanding of the primary subjects, including the coordination of academic congresses and symposia, as well as the development of collaborative research projects.
