PROVINCIAL ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS CAME TOGETHER TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF ERZURUM
The Provincial Advisory Board Meeting, which was hosted by Atatürk University, was convened to identify the potential of Erzurum, contribute to its development, and formulate solution proposals.
Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, Erzurum Deputy Governor Ahmet Özdemir, Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Zafer Aynalı, Erzurum Bar Association President Mesut Öner, public institution administrators, civil society organisation managers, representatives of the business world, and university administration were in attendance at the meeting, which took place at the Ata Uygulama Hotel.
During the meeting, 25 primary topics were identified in order to generate solution proposals for a variety of city issues. Participants assessed numerous domains, including transportation, health, education, and employment. In the future, these topics will be further elaborated upon through subgroups and will be the subject of a workshop that will be organised under the umbrella of 100 topics.
Concrete Measures Will Be Implemented to Advance Erzurum
In his evaluation of the meeting, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu underscored the significance of institutional collaboration and declared that the city's advancement would be expedited without delay. Hacımüftüoğlu: "We will conduct research in a manner that ensures no area remains unexplored." The road map will be established following the meetings, and concrete measures will be implemented to advance Erzurum's development. Our objective is to expedite the process of elevating Erzurum to the status it merits and to contribute to the nation's progress. Atatürk University is prepared to contribute to the development of a road map that includes all of its components in this regard.
The knowledge and well-equipped personnel of Atatürk University will make significant contributions to this process, according to Erzurum Deputy Governor Ahmet Özdemir. Özdemir underscored the significance of the meeting by stating, "Each subject is valuable enough to warrant its own meeting title." We are of the opinion that the identified issues will be addressed in order to take measures that will influence the future of Erzurum for the next 100 years.
According to Secretary General Zafer Aynalı of the Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality, the municipality will provide its utmost backing to each decision made during the meeting. Aynalı declared that All resources will be mobilised to facilitate the development of Erzurum.
The program concluded with the identification of the primary topics and the preparatory planning for the subsequent meeting.
