FACULTY OF THEOLOGY STUDENTS BROUGHT ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY FIRST AND SECOND PLACE IN TURKEY

Ataturk University Faculty of Theology students left their mark on the Hafiz Competition among Female Students and the Qur'ân al-kerîm Reading Competition among the Faculties of Theology-Islamic Sciences organised by the Faculties of Theology-Islamic Sciences and the Presidency of Religious Affairs. Senanur Çelik came first in Turkey and Muhammed Burak Dağ came second in Turkey.

Senanur Çelik, a student of Atatürk University Faculty of Theology, had achieved a significant success as the regional winner in the Eastern Anatolia Regional Final of the Hafiz Competition among Female Students hosted by Atatürk University.

After the regional final, Senanur Çelik participated in the final of the Hafiz Competition for Girls Hafiz Competition in Ankara University and became the first in Turkey. Leaving all her competitors behind, Senanur Çelik, who brought Atatürk University the first place in Turkey, added a new one to the achievements of the Faculty of Theology.

At the Eastern Anatolia Regional Final of the Faculty of Theology-Faculties of Theology-Islamic Sciences Qur'ân al-kerîm Reading Competition held at Bingöl University, Atatürk University Faculty of Theology student Muhammed Burak Dağ was the first in the region and took his place in Turkey finals.

Then, in the Turkish Final of the Qur'ân al-kerîm Recitation Competition held in Ankara Ahmet Hamdi Akseki Mosque, Muhammed Burak Dağ achieved an important success as the second in Turkey.

At the end of the competitions, the students who ranked at the end of the competitions were awarded by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and joy and excitement were experienced together at the ceremony.

Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı said that Atatürk University students' coming first and second in the Hafiz Competition among Female Students and in the Qur'ân al-kerîm Recitation Competition is a source of pride for Atatürk University and expressed that he was also pleased that the students returned from the competitions related to reading our holy book, the Qur'ân al-kerîm, with degrees.

Rector Çomaklı emphasised that the students of the Faculty of Theology, one of the oldest faculties of Atatürk University, achieved degrees worthy of the history and name of the faculty and stated that such successful results should set an example, congratulated Senanur Çelik and Muhammed Burak Dağ and wished them continued success.
