FACULTY OF COMMUNICATION ACCREDITED FOR 3 YEARS

Atatürk University Faculty of Communication was accredited for 3 years by the Communication Education Evaluation Accreditation Board (ILEDAK) of the Communication Research Association (ILAD).

Atatürk University Faculty of Communication continues its accreditation studies initiated in order to register the quality of education and ensure its sustainability. Within this framework, the Departments of Journalism, Public Relations and Publicity and Radio, Television and Cinema, which were accredited in April 2021, were entitled to be accredited for 3 more years as a result of the examinations carried out by the Communication Education Evaluation and Accreditation Board (ILEDAK).

Stating that the quality education provided by the Faculty of Communication has once again been registered with the accreditation extended until 7 April 2026 with the decision of ILEDAK as a result of the consistency reviews and general evaluations, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı said that this success achieved in line with the final report prepared by the members of the board in terms of academic processes, physical infrastructure and administrative functioning and taking into account the relevant criteria made them extremely happy.

Stating that the Faculty of Communication, which was first accredited in 2021, has successfully completed the new review process after 2 years, Rector Çomaklı said: "In the process carried out, our faculty, where many different criteria such as curriculum and objectives, outputs, continuous improvement are found to meet the standards, is among the leading communication faculties of our country in terms of human resources, physical resource adequacy, technology and information infrastructure and academic activities. Our faculty, which is particularly well-equipped at the point of transforming theoretical knowledge into practice, was evaluated by the relevant boards on many criteria and proved its success in many issues related to educational objectives, teaching outcomes, teaching staff, programme infrastructure, institutional support and financial resources, organisation and decision-making processes and was entitled to be accredited. With these thoughts, I congratulate the valuable members of our faculty who work with intense effort and superior performance and wish them continued success."

Prof. Dr. Adem Yılmaz, Dean of the Faculty of Communication, stated that the studies carried out by the Faculty of Communication within the scope of the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project continue to be appreciated by ILEDAK: "With the registration certificate issued by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) in 2018, ILAD and ILEDAK, which are authorised to conduct external evaluation in the field of communication and to issue accreditation certificates, aim to improve the quality of communication education in Turkey by conducting accreditation, evaluation and information studies for communication education programmes. Our faculty, which was accredited by these reputable organisations in 2021, has progressed by improving during this period and has raised the quality bar even higher. Accredited for 3 more years, I congratulate all members of our Faculty of Communication for their efforts and thank our Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı and the members of the board for their support."
