A MONITORING AND EVALUATION MEETING WAS HELD FOR THE FACULTY OF COMMUNICATION, TURKISH MUSIC STATE CONSERVATORY AND THE SCHOOL OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES
In the capacity of an academician and unit manager representative, the 2023 Academic Monitoring and Evaluation Meetings conducted as part of the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project at Atatürk University continue under the chairmanship of Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı
In the Blue Hall of the Cultural Center, Rector Çomaklı and the management team convened a gathering in the morning. In the afternoon, academics from the Turkish Music State Conservatory and the School of Foreign Languages were present. During the Monitoring and Evaluation Meetings, faculty deans and school principals provided presentations on the progress made within their respective departments.
The research is conducted under four overarching themes: cultural transformation studies, evaluation of academic performance results, evaluation of university performance indicators, and TÜBİTAK competency analysis. In addition to these areas, the presentations also track developments and obstacles.
Rector Çomakl stated that a meeting would be held with the deans and directors to assess the advancements made in accordance with the established road map. During this meeting, feedback on the studies conducted in the faculties and vocational schools would also be solicited, in addition to identifying successful areas and areas requiring improvement based on the data.
Rector Çomaklı asserted that the aforementioned meetings played a substantial role in enhancing the reputation of Atatürk University. He stated, "As an institution, we persist in our endeavors to transform into a research-driven establishment that generates scientific knowledge of universal caliber, conducts research and development (R&D) endeavors, fabricates technology, patents it, and disseminates the science it generates for societal betterment." We are in the process of conducting out. Our objective is to surpass our present rankings in all domains through the implementation of novel projects and research endeavors. "Our academics' scientific and artistic investigations positively impact not only the enhancement of a sense of belonging but also the caliber of the studies," he continued.
