The Welcome to Campus Orientation Programme, which was prepared for new students enrolled in faculties and colleges in order to facilitate their adaptation to academic studies and campus life, to help them get to know the structure and facilities of the university and to accelerate their acclimatisation process, has ended.
Many activities were organised within the scope of the Orientation Programme, which was held in the Garage Reading Hall, Culture Centre 15 July National Will Hall and Blue Hall between 3-5 October.
In the hall programmes, which included all the information that students will need throughout their education life; From what it means to be an Ataturk University student to the rights and wrongs made in the Student Information System (SIS), from seminars explaining the tricks of career planning to exchange programmes, many informative meetings were held.
Students visited the informative stands prepared by university unions, public institutions, NGOs and other student organisations, and got detailed information about the units, and made an unforgettable start to the new academic year with climbing, rafting, games and concerts with DJ performances and student bands every evening during the orientation programmes.
Students also travelled to Palandöken Mountain with the vehicles allocated by the university and got acquainted with the natural beauties of Erzurum on the first day.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı stated that they attach importance to these and similar events in order to accelerate the adaptation process of the students and to ensure their rapid adaptation to campus life.
Rector Çomaklı: "I Wish Success to Atatürk University Family"
Emphasising that they strive to take a close interest in each student and solve their problems, Rector Çomaklı stated the following: "We are here for our students who study at our university to be better prepared for life in every aspect. It is of great importance for their future that our students complete the education process in the best way for the departments and programmes they will complete. All units of our university aim to raise patriotic young people who protect the values of our nation, take strength from their faith, are open to the world, and walk on the path illuminated by science. I am sure that our students will work in line with these goals and make their families and us proud. With these thoughts, I wish the 2023-2024 Academic Year to be auspicious and wish success to the Atatürk University family."
