RED FAIRY LAND NARMAN SUSTAINABLE TOURISM WORKSHOP WAS ORGANISED

Ataturk University Faculty of Architecture and Design, Faculty of Tourism, Narman Vocational School, Narman District Governorate and Narman Municipality organised the Red Fairyland Narman Sustainable Tourism Workshop in Narman district of Erzurum.

The workshop was held in 3 sessions with the participation of Narman District Governor Aziz Oğuz Alemdar, Narman Mayor Burhanettin Eser, Narman Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. Aslıhan Esringü, representatives of public institutions and organisations, local entrepreneurs and stakeholders.

In the workshop, Fairy Chimneys, the natural heritage value of the district, were evaluated under the titles of Tourism Product, Promotion and Marketing, Governance, Tourism Trend Analysis, Destination Positioning and Comparison.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Neslihan Serçeoğlu, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zafer Türkmendağ, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuba Türkmendağ and Assoc. Assist. Emre Akoğul, Faculty of Communication Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sait Sinan Atılgan moderated by Faculty of Architecture and Design Dean Prof. Dr. Süleyman Toy and Narman Higher School Director Prof. Dr. Aslıhan Esringü, the problems, values and opportunities of the district were discussed with 5 working groups, and the results of the workshop were shared with local entrepreneurs, participants and stakeholders in the closing session.

The organising committee was chaired by Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Bayraktar coordinated by the Faculty of Architecture and Design - Narman Vocational School and Faculty of Tourism academicians, the actions to be taken as a result of the determinations were given as homework to the stakeholders with individual assignments.
