They Went Door To Door To Raise Awareness

Atatürk University continues its vision of serving the community with full speed, which is one of the requirements of the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project implemented within the scope of the new YÖK Vision, and continues its work in social, cultural, economic areas.
Within the framework of social sensitivity projects, Atatürk University, which is always with the people of the city and region, cooperates with various institutions and implements the projects.In this context, Research and Application Center of Ataturk University Social Awareness Projects (Ata TDM) and the Career Center by the Governorship of Aziziye, Aziziye District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and in cooperation with the township between the dates of February 4-7 in Aziziye neighborhoods (villages) were performed, “to gain awareness about breast cancer to women in rural areas” project was completed.
Under the leadership of Project Coordinator Dr. Ahmet Yilmaz Vocational School of Health Services faculty members associate professor Ayşe Gürol,  lecturer Arzu Gezer, lecturer Esra Bayrakçeken, lecturer Serap Buztepe, Halis Kantar, Rahmi Ağaya and Rüveyda Yilmaz identified information and risk levels and created sensitivity about early diagnosis of women over the age of 40 in the neighborhoods of Aziziye district increasingly Eskipolat. In this practice carried out within the scope of social sensitivity projects, faculty members who gave trainings in the related neighborhoods gave pink violet gifts to the participants to raise awareness.
