WORKSHOP HELD IN COOPERATION WITH KKEF AND CAREER CENTER

The Workshop on the Role of Career Centers in the Changing Education Environment in the Period of Pandemic was held online on 1-2 February 2021 in cooperation with the Career Planning and Graduate Tracking Application and Research Center of Atatürk University Kazım Karabekir Education Faculty.

Head of Education and Development Department of the Presidency Human Resources Office, Dr. Savaş Ceylan and Atatürk University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Sözbilir attended as an invited speaker.

Atatürk University, Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University, Ardahan University, Artvin Çoruh University, Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University, Erzurum Technical University, Iğdır University, Munzur University, Muş Alparslan University and Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Career Centers and Atatürk University, Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University and Managers from Muş Alparslan University Education Faculties attended.

In the workshop, the responsibilities of career centers in distance education processes, which have become mandatory due to the pandemic and are expected to be partially permanent after the pandemic, were discussed with focus group technique. Later, the information produced was categorized and the new roles of career centers, which are normally transformed, and the changing methods and tools while performing them were discussed.

Expressing his satisfaction with the workshop held by a leading university like Atatürk University, Dr. Savaş Ceylan underlined that they will support the steps to be taken to continue such scientific activities.

While the opening and invited speakers section of the workshop will be broadcast live on the official Youtube channel of Atatürk University, the final declaration will be published in the coming days.
