A comprehensive visit was paid by Kocaeli University Rector Prof. Dr. Nuh Zafer Cantürk and his escorting delegation to Atatürk University.

In furtherance of its national and international partnerships, Kocaeli University and Atatürk University have agreed to a protocol encompassing a wide range of subjects. A cooperation agreement pertaining to the collaborative efforts of the two institutions was signed between Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı and his counterpart Prof. Dr. Nuh Zafer Cantürk during his visit to the Rectorate office. Administration from Atatürk University, Kocaeli University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Elif Öğüt, R&D Coordinator Prof. Dr. Kerem Küçük, and Deputy R&D Coordinator Prof. Dr. Olcay Mert were in attendance at the ceremony.

Rector Çomaklı: "All the facets of our university's operations were activated."

In accordance with established procedure, Rector Çomaklı apprised his audience of the groundbreaking New Generation University Design and Transformation Project endeavors that reshaped the institution's outlook. Rector Çomaklı discussed the measures implemented in this regard while discussing the scientific research projects (BAP) coordination unit meeting where he discussed the university's structural transformation. The university's recent successes are rooted in this strategic manoeuvre, according to Rector Çomaklı: "Our university was designated a Research University by YÖK and the quality education commission as a result of this visionary manoeuvre, which is vital for progress and opening new horizons with projects, and which was initiated to mobilise all university resources and maximise efficiency from all its dynamics.

"With the New Generation University Vision Came Success."

Rector Çomaklı asserted that when every member of the university believes in this process and takes action, all of these significant developments become feasible. He further stated that an academic culture has become pervasive throughout the university.

"Many units were functionalized and empowered to actively participate in this transformation as a consequence of the road maps formulated by domain experts and the research we conducted," said Rector Çomaklı. Furthermore, a significant number of our dormant and idle divisions were reorganized and rendered operational. By constructing museums, fitness centers, and social spaces, we endeavored to make our university a more livable educational hub in addition to achieving academic breakthroughs. At present, Atatürk University ranks first among research universities in terms of patent and project applications, and is in close proximity to the top spot. Collectively, we shall ensure that every seed that is deposited today produces fruit in the long run. Our scholarly community is incredibly honored and delighted that our university, which serves as a paradigm in numerous respects, is being referenced as an example. In light of the foregoing, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the accompanying delegation and the rector of Kocaeli University, Prof. Dr. Nuh Zafer Cantürk, for being our distinguished guests today to witness this momentous reformation and sign the protocol agreement aimed at fortifying bilateral cooperation. I earnestly wish the partnership agreement mutual success.

Rector Cantürk stated, "The conducted research serves as a model for higher education in the nation."

Rector Prof. Dr. Nuh Zafer Cantürk conveyed his delight at being in the historically and culturally significant city of Erzurum, as well as at being enrolled at the prestigious Atatürk University, situated on the periphery of Palandöken. He expressed his desire to scrutinize it in person and stated that the accomplishments served as a source of motivation for them. Rector Cantürk stated that in order to keep pace with the developing and transforming age, renewal and progress are unavoidable. He further stated that the recent success of Atatürk University can be attributed to a significant system, and that the purpose of this visit was to determine what must be done to maintain this momentum.
