20TH CHAMPIONSHIP FROM THE CROSS COUNTRY MEN'S TEAM…
At Atatürk University, which is notable for its athletic and intellectual successes, the Men's Cross Country Team won the national championship, while the Women's Cross Country Team placed fourth.
The Atatürk University Men's and Women's Cross Country Teams achieved significant positions at the Turkish Universities ÜNLG Cross Country Championship, which was held at Adana Çukurova University on December 17, 2022 by the Turkish University Sports Federation.
The Men's Cross Country Team, comprised of Enbiya Yazıcı, İslam Taşçı, Hakim Dursun, İsmail Taşyürek, and Kadir Ünal, who competed under the direction of Dr. Abdulvahit Doğan, who has taught the Cross Country and Athletics teams of Atatürk University for 31 years, won the first place in Turkey for the twentieth time, setting a historical record.
The Women's Cross-Country Team, comprised of Berfin Kaya, Elanur Çoban, Merve Bingöl, and Nursena Çeto, placed fourth in Turkey in the tournament. In addition, Atatürk University student İsmail Taşyürek won the Individual Turkey Championship with a time of 24.46, bringing honor to the university.

Prof. Ömer Çomaklı, the university's rector, stated that Atatürk University has earned a reputation for itself via its scientific research as well as its activities and accomplishments in the cultural, artistic, and athletic domains. He congratulated everyone who had a hand in this success.
When given the opportunity, young people may do great things, according to Rector Çomakı "In addition to the natural sciences, these accomplishments in the social, cultural, and athletic realms enhance the reputation of our university, which competes with universities from across the world. These degrees, which add favorably to the brand value of our university on a national and worldwide scale, are also attractive to students with an interest in sports. I congratulate our Cross Country Men's Team, which did us proud by being first in Turkey for the twentieth time, and our Cross Country Women's Team, which placed fourth, and wish them continuing success."
