MEETING WITH THE KYUSHU INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY TO ENHANCE COLLABORATION...
Prof. Dr. Hirofumi Tanaka, a faculty member of Kyushu Institute of Technology who has conducted significant worldwide research in the field of Neuromorphic Artificial Intelligence hardware, met with Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu and assessed potential cooperation between the two universities.
Neuromorphic artificial intelligence hardware and potential uses of cooperative research in this sector were under discussion in the conference. Joint research in this vital area will, both parties agreed, improve scientific development as well as academic connections between the two nations.
Prof. Dr. Tanaka underlined the importance of neuromorphic artificial intelligence hardware in future technologies and highlighted that working with Atatürk University in this sector would help to produce both scientific and technical advances. By combining the infrastructure and academic knowledge of Atatürk University with Kyushu Institute of Technology in this sector, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu stated they want to sign projects of worldwide influence.
It was decided during the conference that at least two students would take part in the annual exchange program, therefore enhancing the academic and cultural relations between both universities.

It was emphasised at the conference that the student exchange program seeks not only academic growth but also bridges between different cultures. According to Prof. Dr. Tanaka, this program will help students to broaden their global perspectives and have abroad experiences. Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu said that Atatürk University is dedicated to assist such worldwide cooperation and that this relationship with Kyushu Institute of Technology would initiate a long-term and fruitful cooperation process between the two institutions.
Every year, at least two students from Kyushu Institute of Technology will attend Atatürk University as part of the program, and at least two students from Atatürk University will be admitted to Kyushu Institute of Technology. Using the sophisticated research possibilities presented by both institutions throughout the program will let the students grow in knowledge and ability.
While both institutions indicated their preparedness to conduct all required actions for the proper execution of the plan, this significant agreement stands out as a milestone towards the internationalisation aims of Atatürk University.
